Professional Artist, Tutor & Demonstrator
Hello my name is Keith Collins I was born in Hastings in 1947 and I am a self taught artist. My main hobby, since I can remember, has been drawing and painting. Like most people this was put on hold until work and family commitments became less of a demand.
I am essentially a landscape painter but I also like to create modern watercolour paintings of animals and people.
I am a prolific artist and spend a lot of time finding subjects that evoke emotion which will also reflect in my work.
I am now a full time instructor working from my own studio to encourage and inspire others to enjoy painting in watercolour.
Not only do I teach watercolour painting but I am a frequent guest demonstrator and workshop instructor.
If you would like to attend any of my classes please see the up and coming dates for 2016 & 2017.
My work has been featured in many solo and group exhibitions in Sussex, Kent & London. I felt honoured in 2007 as I was commissioned to do a painting of Hastings Old Town Fishing Fleet by the Mayor of Hastings, supported by Hastings Borough Council. It was then presented to Hastings twin town Schwerte (Germany) by the Mayor herself.
